โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ’ž CATCH THEM YOUNG – MENTOR THEM! ๐Ÿ‘ช๐Ÿ‘ฏ

While I was loosening my hair on a Saturday morning, I was listening to songs played on RCCG radio with my earpiece. The plan was to have a me time outside. Just right in the middle of it, my niece came out and because I wanted to engage her as well, I placed it on speaker but could still use my earpiece. All of a sudden she held her napkin, (cos she was being fed before coming out to meet me) she spread it on one hand, more like you holding a Bible on one hand and she started walking to and fro, where I stood and was speaking (though I couldn’t hear her though). At first I thought she was playing but she continued this for minutes. Amazingly, the tone of her voice increased and she continued walking to and fro. And while doing this, she kept on looking at the napkin as if she were actually reading something on the spread out napkin on her hand. All that came to my mind was “Catch them young”. I’m still amazed!. And to cap it up, she had to shout hallelujah afterwards.

Okay, I don’t know how many people or parents still believe in leaving their young ones till the time they are of age before they are introduced to Christ or know at least little about what God’s love for them is all about.

I do not intend writing so much on this, as it’s a reminder for us all to “catch them young indeed”. You don’t have to wait till they are 10 upwards before they know about the “being” who loved them even before they were formed, and still does care much more about them. You know, parents most times fall in love with the child that is already in the womb & not one they do not even know if it’s a boy or girl or would come to be. But amazing enough and more, God loves us and has plans (the best) even before our formation and even before the inception of the world we now dwell in today.

โ€œBefore I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you. Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you: A prophet to the nationsโ€” thatโ€™s what I had in mind for you.โ€

Jeremiah 1:5 MSG
So do you now see that there is a need for the little ones to indeed come to Christ as Jesus said in the new testaments – But Jesus said, โ€œLet the little children come to me”. Matthew 19:14a

God bless us all, as we “catch them young for Him”. And to those who are wondering “how”, (even I wonder how to do that effectively), take a step after another. That has worked for me in many areas – “Taking a step after another”. You will be amazed how much capacity you have in you to do this & more. Be positive about this and above all ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ’Ÿ

** “Start with God โ€”the first step in learning is bowing down to God ; only fools thumb their noses at such wisdom and learning”.

Proverbs 1:7 MSG.
** “Trust God from the bottom of your heart; donโ€™t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God โ€™s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; heโ€™s the one who will keep you on track. Donโ€™t assume that you know it all. Run to God ! Run from evil! Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life! Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the best. Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over. But donโ€™t, dear friend, resent God โ€™s discipline; donโ€™t sulk under his loving correction. Itโ€™s the child he loves that God corrects; a fatherโ€™s delight is behind all this”.

Proverbs 3:5โ€ญ-โ€ฌ12 MSG

Delight in God’s help to teach you “How”. The blessed part is He is ever ready to help us. Always!.

Don’t see Him as being far but instead draw near to Him, putting Him in care of it all. You have the strength to do it (and even more) in you already – God!. Involve Him more today. He cares and He desires to see blessed generations mentored by us. Whether you like it or not, you (as a parent) are a first mentor to that child in your care. Mentor Him after Christ and see him or her become a great him or her. You desire a great and glorious future for the child in your care?, then let him or her know more about Christ today.

Just like Hannah did with Samuel; don’t just dedicate him or her in church and leave the rest to handle itself. It won’t actually, which is why you are a mediator to that child before God. Please don’t fail God by not doing anything in regards to this. God expects more from you (already parents) and I (the likes of upcoming parents) to make a change in this generations. And this positivity just can’t happen out of the blues in them, if you as a parent left out the place of God in their lives even from the start (tender and weaning age). Wake up and do more today. You have the strength to do this in you. You do! and I do as well!. ๐Ÿ’•

#Seeing the best in them, even from now as Blessed and Graced children cos they have God included in the equation (in their lives).
