Recently, I was in the kitchen with my Sister and her children taking in some sweet cherry. She picked up one which was looking all fresh and when I sighted it as well it was looking all pretty – the skin was fresh and not like the others we had taken so far.

But to our utmost surprise, the cherry 🍒 was spoilt on the inside. It wasn’t looking like it had anything bad on it’s inside truthfully speaking, but it was terrible on the inside.

Looking at this, I realised that the fact that we meet people who look all pretty, great looking and Gallant in their stature and all. Doesn’t obviously make them good on the inside. I have realised that what we carry on the inside is the most important which obviously translates to the outward which we term as the aura or charisma an individual carry. Is your life all pretty or beautiful on the outward alone and you definitely know you are no where close to being pretty on the inside?. Why don’t you take a walk and go to God seeking that He makes the better version of the You all round. Beyond the facial beautification and the great trending cloths and all other accessories. There is a greater need for the inward You – Spirit and Soul to be made pretty and whole as well. And this can only be achieved with God in the picture.

Two years back while I was serving there was a bible study group I was involved in, with some dear friends of mine and one of the text sighted that day by one of us remains one of my favorite verses till date and this lifts my spirit anytime I realise there is/are still any ”but” left unattended to and this constantly drives me to my bestie (God) because in Him my being comes perfect. The verse is in Hebrews:

Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

Hebrews 7:25 ESV

This verse is a constant reminder that we can be better, that we can be the best, that we can be at the utmost with our walk with God, that we can be perfect only in Him, that we can exude an aura that leaves people wondering where one is from and then left with words like – Dear, you are different. Hmmmm. We can be better beyond the surface and this doesn’t leave out the place of looking beyond the surface in our choices as well.

One of the most important decisions of man is the choice of partnership (lol. It’s my definition of marriage 😘). Cos two has to agree for them to be able to walk together for a lifetime as God desires of us as His children.

Okay, back to the main discuss. I have realised and I am sometimes guilty too, when I am at first carried or let me say blown away.. Lol, by the aura and charm the person or people carries and thanks to God, He calls me back to my senses.. Lol. Really!, learning to look beyond the surface has saved me from some heartbreaking phases that might have come to be if I had gone with the flow – the aura or sensation I felt at those times. And all thanks to God for that.

Another verse I love sighting with regards to this is – “Known to God are all things from the beginning of the world” (Acts 15:18). So why don’t I then consult the man to whom all knowledge lies. I can’t tell all the things He has revealed before it happens and hence made it easier for me to walk past it with boldness and confidence knowing He who has shown and with me trusting in His person, that He will assuredly walk with me through it.

So my dear!. Look beyond the surface and see the real deal – the person within and the stuff that thing is made of as they say.. ☺.
Also, let God open your eyes to look beyond the storms and dark tunnels to see the bright light and rescue beyond it. You are never left alone in life’s journey. Cos we do and will forever have an amazing father who cares and His love leaves me in awe of His person always. 😘💃
