A lot of time, we just conclude that God knows how we feel; moreover He sees me and knows all about it!. But as amazing as He is, being our father, He wants us to be honest with Him and talk to Him all about it. He wants a communication not a simplex communication or relationship. Not some sort of assumption that He knows it all and you need not voice it out to Him. This is not to counter that He knows all about you dear, but He wants a communion with you. He wants you to be free to express your deepest fears, hunting past, dark or terrifying moments, even your joyful and testimonial moments.

He wants to dine at the table with you. He wants you to reach a place of security with Him that calms you at heart that your secrets are safe with Him. That He won’t jilt you even if your best friend or loved one ever did. He wants a stay with you, in which all moments are being shared with Him. He wants you to spell it all to Him – don’t hoard the details dear!. Because dear, your secrets are all safe with Him!.

Being honest with Him implies you being plain with Him. As we Yoruba’s will say – O ti ri mi tan! (meaning you know all about me!!). Yes, I want that to be a saying between you and God too darling. Let Him into the picture of You. Let Him into your past and current phases, because in that which you call private and it’s secretly hunting you day and night, He wants a “in” on it as well. The amazing part of Him is, He isn’t man that desires to be part of your good and cool side alone. But as well as times when the odd comes calling. 🤔 He wants you to let out those fears at His feet even in your tears and to lean on His shoulders. Not you being on your bed or in your closet, being locked and bottled up!.

Be transparent with your God dear. I have learnt to and I will say it pays to. I have had series of time when I feel like uttering some things that might seem uncool or act in a certain way and at that instance of me wanting to voice it out or act, that He cautions me. I am like, God really this person or this thing is…… or when I am confused or in a tight corner of making a decision or thinking on what’s not, I tell Him what my concerns are and He works it all out at the end of it.

You can’t keep being locked in your world expecting a miracle or light to come shinning in. Why don’t you step out towards the light (God) and let the light illuminate it all, making you a free man. Dear, you can be free if only you’d let all records or histories (of hurts, aches and secrets) out to Him. Be deliberate about your openness with your God because many reasons will come lurking in your hearts causing you to not let it out. And if you don’t get to be honest with Him (He who knows all about you and still keeps loving you endlessly), who else do you want to trust your confessions with then?.

Wow!, amazing and ecstatic isn’t it, that He knows our odds and shortcomings, yet He desires a relationship real and genuine with us. 💃

Reflect on these words as it’s a message to a heart reading this. I believe you can become free if only you’d be plain with Him. Feel free to talk to God and let the Devil hunt you no more. The ball is in your court!.
