“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near;

Isaiah 55:6 ESV

A lot of us struggle with our prayer life and at some stage, it feels like God is too far away from our beckon. It’s because you’ve strayed or walked away from His Niche. You’ve gone out of His covering and presence. For example, you could see two individuals with totally different walk with God, whose experiences of Him is different as well. For the first, he or she is actively involved in the things of God and service unto Him. Whilst the other is lacking in these, as He sees life as a merriment base. Definitely you won’t expect this two examples to have the same experience of God. As for the first mentioned, he or she will definitely call upon God and He hears speedily, as read in the Bible verse stated earlier on. While the other would have to battle through his or her struggles first before he or she can think of communicating his or her worries and concerns to God for Him to lead him/her through.

We can’t afford to toss the things of God aside and expect the best of God in our lives. There’s a depth you get to, that as you experience more of Him, you get to know the deep things of Him. Which not only affects your life and core of it. It as well affects the lives knitted and administered to you.

Your life will be a blessing and something to reckon with if only you develop a close relationship with Him and never get to be far away from Him, as to you allowing flesh and all of its worries to set in.

Let’s picture the two scenarios stated below. First scenario – There is a man who has been trying so hard to beckon on his friend but because the friend is far away (out of his reach), probably because he walked or moved away from him. He resorted to shouting but this doesn’t guarantee that his beloved friend would still hear his call. Second Scenario – You can picture a man having to only whisper or talk stress free because his friend is within his reach.

So looking at the two scenarios aforementioned, definitely the latter is the example of the kind of man the verse is instructing and admonishing us to be. Let’s seek God now, stop playing gullible with flesh to loose out of eternity.

Stop giving way to sin and allowing yourself to wallow in it without repentance. God awaits our come back and He is ever willing, just as the father of the prodigal son welcomed him home. You are far worth than rubies, don’t let the devil reduce it to a chunk of wood; leaving you hopeless and dashed. Come back home. He awaits you.

May God spur our hearts to grow deeper and better in Him. Amen.
