A lot of us, when asked this question, would definitely say a Yes!. But then, if you did believe, what do you believe in?. And do you only believe in Him when the road maps seem all clear or the coast is all mist free and the puzzles are perfectly fitted and all seems to be going on just great?
Trust me, it’s a lot easier to believe, to trust and to love when everything is all going smoothly. But have you thought on; what if this wasn’t the case, would I still profess this Love I have for God or would I just chicken out at any glitch in the process.
I was rewatching a movie I had previously seen and the first scene was what prompted this topic. The man in question was the pastor of a church, who was headed to the hospital to pick up a member of his church and his wife. But was stopped on the way by the traffic light and while waiting for a pass to the motion on, a man who was dragging an actual cross stood by the roadside too. A while after, the man with the cross came close to the side of the pastor’s car and asked him: Do you believe?. And just like everyone else would have voiced out a yes, he said his in another way – I am a pastor!. I laughed when he said it though as it did amuse me, like yeah a yes or no would have served it. But the man with the cross was persistent and asked for the second time and eventually he just voiced out a yes. After the pastor’s response, the man then stated: So, what are you gonna do about it?. Yeah, that question is deep and very thought-provoking.
Now back to our discussion, what are you also going to do about it?. Yeah, you!. π
Yeah, you believe in Christ, you profess your Love for Him. You seem to be the first to always get to church and all church activities are on your daily routine. But beyond this – What are you going to do about it?. It’s easy I must say to just profess it. But if you and I were to be subjected to face an ice storm, knowing it could be a deadly one if you acted on your believe in Him or make it even known. Or you could stay safe and guaranteed (at least) of a physical safety. I can say we would have a lot of folks going for the latter. I might be guilty of this as well even in my little decisions but then that’s the need for this message. It’s for you and I to buckle our shoes, tighten our laces and quit slacking. Time is fast running out on us and we just keep rolling with the tide; calling it evolution and the new age. π¦ This is a call back to our station post. We are not meant to fit into the world scheme of business. We were meant to stand out. A city set on a hill. (Matthew 5:14).
Comm’on we’ve got to sit up and get our records straightened out. π
Believing isn’t just about you professing it. It’s a lot more. It extends or let me say originates from the stems of trying times and persecutions. Believers, as seen and read severally in the New Testament, were called “Believers/ Christians” because they weathered the storms that came in the process. They were ready to give their all to God. Not being scared of that which could only take or consume the physical bodies but not their souls. They trusted God to the height of it. Daniel’s friends are another good example. God!, their response is so faith challenging.
Please read the verses below: ππ₯
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered King Nebuchadnezzar, βYour threat means nothing to us. If you throw us in the fire, the God we serve can rescue us from your roaring furnace and anything else you might cook up, O king. But even if he doesnβt, it wouldnβt make a bit of difference, O king. We still wouldnβt serve your gods or worship the gold statue you set up.β
Daniel 3:16β-β¬18 MSG
It’s a challenge to us all (I, inclusive). We are not there yet, but we can have a mind shift and refocus on what really matters as children of God. Yes, He has paid the price for it all. But what are you gonna do about it?. Would you see your neighbor lacking and you continue feeding fat or you continue with the malice act and all sorts that one can think of and you keep on singing – Holy is the Lamb?. ππ
His desire is for us all to Grow Up!. A lot of us have so long lost our identity. I bet people are even shocked when they see you step into a church gathering raising up holy hands. God needs to work on us all folks. Time is running out!. We have to get it right!.
Do have a pleasant time ahead folks. π

Great one Mercy. The form of godliness does not do the work, the mindset matters most. What is In the mind, what do i believe in my spirit. What does the heart of my heart says.
