“Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven”.

MATTHEW 6:10 (AMP)

It happened to be, that I have been using a particular devotional for my study which has been unraveling more on the subject – Prayer: From prayer as a relationship; to it being a form of worship; to it being God’s way of doing right; And today was all about it being God’s will.

So I was trying to put it to a more practical view and reflected more on it. While at it, it dawned on me that just as this verse states “your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” and emphasis was made on the perfected state of His will in heaven, exposing us hence to the truth that when we pray it serves as a channel to bring to earth (our lives) God’s perfect will which has already been made perfect in heaven. As well as in every other area that concerns us, be it in our career, family, ministry, relationships, name it.

I was also spurred to look at it from another viewpoint. And it is the place of praying to actualize God’s already perfected answers to His will in us.

So what then is His will for us?, as we would normally ask. That we glorify God yes!. But further askings, as to why we need to engage His will for us will be: so that His plans which is of good and not of evil; to bring us to our future and expected end, and to also grant us more than all of our expectations; be fulfilled outrightly in our lives as God’s seeds. (Jeremiah 29:11; Ephesians 3:20; AMP)

So if you are still wondering or asking yourself “Why God’s will?”. The answer herein is, so that His perfect and good plan will be established in your life.

God’s sincere desire for us is to live a life well spent in Him. Be it in health, prosperity, name it, as read in 3 John 2 and Psalms 1:3.

So dear friend, you need not look farther away for the answer to your why in that area you are wondering “Why God’s will in this…”. The answer you need is in the Bible, the word of God unto me and you.

You know what?; while I was reflecting on this message, He made me realize that He knew we would ask so many questions eventually, so He prepared all the answers to all of our possible “why this and that” ahead of time. So that we won’t be swayed into believing the world’s view of things. God thence prepared all things for us right before time. Even when we look at the creation story, He created the trees, birds, all the animals, the firmament and the sky bodies (star, sun, moon), before He finally made Man.

God is just so great a father. He knows you and I more than you as a person can ever tell of yourself. He knows it all and has given you before time all the answers you can ever desire to have. Even ages after now, these answers will still remain viable and active.

So why don’t you devote time to studying His word; and garner the energy and booster that you need at every point in time; in this drifting world.

My challenge to you today is that you pick up your study time from where you might have left it, and start now if you were never committed to it.
