Such a phrase right?.

I was having a rewatch of the movie: “MOMS’ NIGHT OUT” when this phrase was mentioned.

It’s amazing how much we try so hard to change so many things about us. Hence leaving us less of our real selves and whom we are made and graced to be.

The main character in the movie wanted so badly to be a perfect mum and she tried hard oftentimes and just kept feeling choked in the whole situation. But then, she had to go through “the unexpected” to have a change of heart and see that in it all, Grace was in her and she can always be better each passing day with her not having to quit on her role as a mum and wife.

The night out the moms in this movie had, was a total mess 💯😁 but it ended up passing across to them a beautiful, life-changing lesson. And this reminds me of how some phases of my life, though it went on a different pattern but yet still turned out so beautiful at the end of it.

So many times, I have wondered if God cared so much and loved me as much as He told me; and still reminds me each time, just because a phase is being so hard on me and it’s like “I am so going to fail at making it through this”. 😕 But in it all, He proves Himself and makes me see that I can be a lot more than my myopic eyes sees me as.

I have been dared and pushed so many times beyond my limits (according to me) and it has been of a grace I could have never known it was right there in me if I hadn’t been allowed to go through such drills. 🙇

God does know our strength and He just never fails at Him being our father. And this should remind us that we can’t fail if only we choose to see through His lens and always seek to call out the deep (His deep, his sufficiency, his grace) that lies in us causing us to see beyond the mess as it is (physically) and see just how beautiful it would be at the end of it all.

So many drills have gone past for me this year (2019) and I can’t be more grateful that He allowed me go through such strain and drill. “A blessing” is what I now count it as. Just as David was graced to face the giant and conquer him. So also we will face it ALL and CONQUER!. 💯

God is always faithful, don’t ever forget that.

Let’s read these verses:

– No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance]; but God is faithful [to His word–He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist], but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy].

1 CORINTHIANS 10:13 (AMP)

And,

– After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace [who imparts His blessing and favor], who called you to His own eternal glory in Christ, will Himself complete, confirm, strengthen, and establish you [making you what you ought to be].

1 PETER 5:10 (AMP)

Did you read that?. The first reference states that He already knows what we can go through (our capacity). As He is so aware of our strength and weaknesses and so He knows what you and I can handle.

Just as a man had to tell the lead character in the movie (someone she least expected) that “God didn’t make a mistake committing those kids to the mama He did; just be you and He will take care of the rest”. (His quote)

That was profound, sometimes we try to be our own perfection. When God alone is our perfection and by Him alone can we become perfect as the walk unto perfection is never attained in a day. Trying to attain perfection in a day will be so much struggle for us and cause us much pain than relief. As God intends for us each day to be in peace and rest, which is why He said we should “Cast all of our burdens on Him because He cares for us” (Matthew 11:28; AMP). Stop carrying that load, drop it! Will you?.

And the second reference is another graced one: knowing that beauty indeed lies at the end of all the drills or challenges we can ever face in this world.

Let Him make that seemingly seen mess in your life or around you – beautiful, would you?.
