🌸✴ CHASING THE EPHEMERAL OR THE LASTING ❔❇

Now every athlete who [goes into training and] competes in the games is disciplined and exercises self-control in all things. They do it to win a crown that withers, but we [do it to receive] an imperishable [crown that cannot wither].

1 CORINTHIANS 9:25 (AMP)

This should be a short one. Just a nudge and a reminder to ask ourselves this question as stated above. What are you chasing after; what am I chasing after?. The ephemeral or the everlasting?. πŸ€”

Truth be told we live in a world with so many aspirations and goal setting. But what are your aspirations set on; what are your goals set upon?. His complete will or all yours?.

You keep wondering why you keep failing at that particular race, maybe it’s not His will. πŸ€” Have you sat down to ask yourself that question?. Just maybe He has something better and bigger in the plan for you. But you are just not seeing it – His way!. 😚

So what we chase after determines its lasting state. If it will be everlasting (stand the test of time and trials) or it will give way at the slightest hitch (Ephemeral).

Remember the parable of the house built on the rock which stood despite the rain and wind that came beating upon it and that on the sand which crumbled?. πŸ’

Dear reader, your wish and will can give way to anything when it is hinged on “self”. But when it is built on “Christ” (His will and purpose) you will be UNSTOPPABLE. πŸ’ƒ

Yes, you most certainly will be, because Christ was unstoppable and He’s still is. As NO death could hold Him back and He came up (Alive); a conqueror of death that we LIVE.

So yes that is it, whatever you hinge your life and pursuit upon determines how your end will be. Do you want a solid; glowing end or a burnt down; crumbled one. πŸ‘€

Think about this. I believe you will choose rightly. πŸ€”

Do have a graceful weekend folks.
And a Happy New Month. ❀

I love how you said that with God we are unstoppable. In myself I sometimes get so tired, but thinking of going in God’s strength and being unstoppable is very encouraging. Thank you! I also want to say, with a red face, that I believe I accidentally deleted your sweet comment from my blog post today. So sorry!! 😦

Yeah, it can be so tiring moving on one’s strength. But with Him, He is our boost and sustenance in all the high and low.

You are welcome. Glad to. 😊

Smiles.. Read your other comment on it. Thank God you were able to retrieve it. But really “no hassle” if otherwise, would have recomposed probably. 😁❀

Choose Christ! An excellent daily reminder! My flesh wants to do great things and be recognized because of my pride. My flesh wants to plan the roadmap of my life because of my insecurity. But I don’t follow a plan or a dream, I follow a person – Jesus Christ – and he leads me step by step and thus far he has never felt the need to give me any clue where we are going, what we are doing or what we will face along the way. Instead he says, “trust me.” Praise God, because had I known in advance the trials and hardships to be faced it would have only frightened me needlessly. Praise God also for his grace and patience with us as we learn his ways and study his word, and so often pursue “good” goals that aren’t his goals and are at last discovered to be wood, hay, and stubble. May we take the time to know his word and put it into practice, thus building on the rock. Thank you for the exhortation and reminder! God bless!
