☀📓THE WORD 🔥📑

I was having my study one morning and it came to mind to write on this. The word of God is so blessed and gracefully written for our edification but then there is a key thing to note. Which is: we are never meant to interpret God’s word with our mere human understanding.

Let’s read this text:

All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately–behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]; so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 TIMOTHY 3:16‭-‬17 (AMP)

Do note that the “man of God” as stated in this amplified version of the Bible connotes “all believers” whether man or woman or child.

Okay, the caution for us which we should also note is that the word of God (His word for us) is written and expressed by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. So whenever we are reading or studying our Bible, we ought to let the author/inspirer (i.e the Holy Spirit) quicken us and bring to light these words in us. Only then does the word become alive and active in us as stated in:

For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.

HEBREWS 4:12 (AMP)

The word of God is never static (to render inactive) or unidirectional. This is why you can read a verse of the Bible on different occasions and it addresses different issues concerning your life and being.

Let’s thence embrace God’s word with the grace that comes with it, by allowing the Holy Spirit in us to teach us in the truth of God’s word for us (the Bible).

But when the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor–Counselor, Strengthener, Standby) comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of Truth who comes from the Father, He will testify and bear witness about Me.

JOHN 15:26 (AMP)

Let’s note this: “the spirit of truth” (i.e the Holy spirit)….. He will testify and bear witness about Me (Jesus – the Word)”.

Jesus Christ as the word in person is seen in John 1:1:

“At the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.”

JOHN 1:1 (AMP)

Also – the word being active, sharper than any physical two-edged sword is seen here:

In His right hand He held seven stars, and from His mouth came a sharp two-edged sword [of judgment]; and His face [reflecting His majesty and the Shekinah glory] was like the sun shining in [all] its power [at midday].

Revelation 1:16 (AMP)

Let’s allow the person of God in us (The Holy Spirit) to train us so that we become edified as these words penetrate deep into our core; leaving nothing out!.

Do have a graceful day. ❤✋

Happy new month. ❄⛄🌦🎅

Great post!! I used to work with a girl that believed the Bible was written by random people and just left for others to find. It made me so sad that she believed that!
