🍂🍁 HOPE 🌳🌲

I couldn’t think of a better title for this write-up. It’s rather amazing how God uses anything; even the least expected things as an aid to driving home His message unto us.

So it happened that there is a particular palm tree type (Fishtail palm) in our compound which I really like because of its unique fronds. I just like it, maybe my nature-loving self just got in sync with it. A few months ago, mum transplanted it to another spot, so that it can have enough ground to properly grow. But the countdown to a while after the transplanting, it started drying out. I felt sad and lost hope on it at some point despite it was still being watered often etc. In fact, it was during the raining period so it had more than enough water supply, needed for it to sprout back.

But guess what, despite the abundance of showers it had and the sunlight it also enjoyed, it didn’t change at all and looked all dried out (outwardly).

Smiles. But guess God wanted me to learn a great lesson because anytime I look at that palm now, I just smile and my heart is filled with joy and hope that there is indeed hope in God.

Okay, back to my gist. Do you want to guess what happened?.

Fast forward to January this year, almost the same time I was hit back to back with some disappointments in something I was looking out for, for the new year. This dear palm started showing a conspicuous green bud between the dried sheaths which covered the shoot. God, the day I first noticed it, I felt so happy and it just brought alive the word – Hope. I knew God was trying to drive home a message to me.

So yes this palm has been thriving even better each passing day. Even with it having a lesser supply of water, since its harmattan and its mostly sunny and seldom cold.

Despite all these, this palm is thriving – growing relentlessly. God!. 🙌

How God works is rather awe-amazing for me. Sorry I had to merge those words but its just pretty much indescribable. To state that the palm tree will sprout back was a mirage for me sometime in October/November. But God is rather able to make anything suffice again yeah. So He did just that. I believe He did it to remind me constantly that He is still very much involved.

I feel rather blessed writing this because the year came with the unexpected seemingly bad but also with graceful good too. In fact the good for me outweighs the bad; taking a keen look at it. He just knows how to recompense us yeah!.

There is indeed hope for a tree even when it is cut down to sprout again. This verse keeps playing in my mind:

“For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that it will sprout again, And that its tender shoots will not cease.

Job 14:7 (NKJV)

There is hope for you dear reader. I wish I had a picture of it when it was all dried out and you could shake it and it would fall out. Mum even had to put stones to support it because of the wind and mentioned that we keep watering it. And gracefully it sprouted back. It is amazing!. 😪

But here is the picture of it now:

God is absolutely able to do ANYTHING, even the seemingly impossible things. He is an ABLE God – Almighty (which I call it as All-Mighty; the All in mightiness) 🙌

Every shade of God is Mighty, so also His output over our lives as His Children. We are blessed guys. We are indeed blessed. 💃💃

I don’t know what you have lost hope on and even canceled off your prayer list just because it “seems” impossible or God is delaying in answering it. There is still Hope. Tell yourself that. Let it sink into your mind and let your spirit man get in sync with it too.

Do read this:

Looking at them, Jesus said, “With people [as far as it depends on them] it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.”

Mark 10:27 (AMP)

I yell out – THERE IS STILL HOPE!!!

Yes, I encourage you to do the same and hold on tightly to these words. Eventually, you will see it manifest.
Our hope is in Christ Jesus. So this benefit is to those who are in Christ. It’s never too late to make Jesus your Author and finisher also. He alone births the hope in us and perfects (completes) it.

Do read these verses:

Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;

Philippians 1:6 (NKJV)

And,

Therefore He is able also to save forever (completely, perfectly, for eternity) those who come to God through Him since He always lives to intercede and intervene on their behalf [with God].

Hebrews 7:25 (AMP)

And,

[looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity]

Hebrews 12:2a (AMP)

His Blessings to you. ❤

Even in the most dark and challenging times, we can have hope in God. We live in a world of uncertainty and we have an enemy that wants us to lose hope, but God assures us in Jeremiah 29:11 that He has a bright future for us.

What an awesome God we serve. Before reading this post, I was reading Ephesians 2:12 which reads “Remember that at the time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.” Reading this post, it reminded me of that scripture again. Christ is our living hope. He draws us to Himself. When all else fails, we have a Savior and a King who gives us hope. We can fix our eyes on the One who never gives up on us. In him, we have the victory. See palm tree, flourishing again 🙌🏿😊. The Lord is involved oo 😌.
