🕴WELLBEING 💃

Wellbeing

Smiles, this topic is a bit different from my writings so far, but it came to mind to share about it.

So what is wellbeing?.

Avatar - Thoughts

For me, in my layman’s term – it is the wellness of one’s body i.e. your physical wellness.

So before you begin to wonder where this would lead us to, let’s take a look at this verse together.

Even as your soul prospers - 3 John 1:2
3 John 1:2 (AMP)

Did you read that?. It is God’s desire for us to have good health and live in complete wellness, even in our physical bodies. Yes, you would ask “why would He be concerned with this?”. Isn’t our spiritual well-being or wellness, what He desires the most?.

Let’s take a look at another Bible verse:

Your Body is the Temple of God
1 Corinthians 6:19 (AMP)

Here the Bible states (not Mercy 😁), that He dwells in our Body and we are not our own property. So, my dear, your physical body isn’t yours either. And if we are indeed living with the understanding that we house or carry God on our inside, then we should tend to our physical well being too.

I believe you are wondering how our physical wellness or wellbeing is linked to this. And asking “how does this even affect my ability to house Him effectively?.

First, let’s picture a man who as a result of an undernourished diet ended up being hospitalized because he is now suffering from a major health issue. That man can’t do much at all. Even if he has the strength to pray and study, he is still bed-bound or hospitalized hence he can’t live in the fullness of all that God desires for him to achieve. Hence his being hospitalized, is a limitation to him living effectively in God’s plan and purpose for his life.

Second, let’s picture a woman who is trying to minister or preach to someone and all of a sudden, started scratching her head. And then all sorts of flakes start to fly here and there. 😂

Please if you are the one that is on the receiving end of this unleashing, would you still stay through that conversation?. Won’t you remember that you have an appointment that is urgent? And then politely excuse yourself, taking a fast-paced walk away from her as soon as possible?. 😂

That was on a lighter note. But I recall sometime last year during our Church’s Sunday school class, that we had a discussion on health care and it changed my orientation about some things. And recently, I joined a health and well-being class online and it was enlightening. It’s amazing how productive we can be all-round if only we would not leave our physical bodies to cater for themselves. Or to figure things out on its own. God gave us a body, soul, and spirit for a reason. He knows you can by His leading (the Holy Spirit in you) be able to care for the wellbeing of your whole being.

The Holy Spirit helps us to nurture our Physical body as well as our Spirit man

Stop allowing your physical body lack its nourishment even as you are ensuring your spirit man is fed.

And personally, I can tell you that God is so much interested in your diet and your physical makeup and wellness. Because it is what I have experienced. So yes, from my personal experiences, He also desires that you and I prosper in health (bodily) even as our soul prospers.

Treat God's temple right - your body is God's own

Thank you for reading. Blessings. ❤
Happy new week. 💃

Mercy, your funny oo. I actually found humor in the example of the woman scratching her head while preaching. I definitely agree that we should carry this body well. It belongs to God. If we don’t take care of what God has given unto us, we shouldn’t expect more from Him. Everything is gives us is to bring glory unto Him. Too much of everything is not good. I will continue to drink more water and reduce in certain food consumptions. Thank you for this reminder 😊✨
