šŸ’  TRAMPLED UPON, YET OF GREAT VALUE šŸ’Ž

Trampled upon - Of great value

Smiles. I never saw this in the light of what I would be sharing with you, today.

On this particular Sunday, we had finished church service, concluded every activity needed to be done and we were getting set to leave. But then we had to wait a while for all of us to leave at the same time. And because of this, I sat back and was having a chat with one of the church members, and my attention got drawn to the heap of sand that was in the next compound, that was being used for an ongoing building project.

Heap of sand

The funny part is that earlier on, I had looked at that heap of sand, severally. But then there was a change of perspective looking at it again. My niece asked a question – “Aunty so they are building with sand” and I replied “… and with Cement” and pondering on it gave me a bigger picture. Like the same sand, we tread upon is the same one people go all out to hire laborers to pack up and even go all the way to hire a truck to help transport it to the construction site, where it is being needed. And on most occasions, we even have to pay for it.

This is interesting to me because I never saw the relevance of sand, in this way. As much as we can say it is of no value because we tread upon it, we even dust it out of our houses. šŸ˜‚ But we can’t do away with the fact that it is of greater value than what we currently see it as. It is this same “unworthy” sand that is being used in building so many beautiful housing structures we all admire and even dwell in, today. Who would have thought that these beautiful structures, were made out of the seemingly “invaluable” thing?

I can’t really help but smile brooding on this, because it reminds me that God never wastes anything.

He works it all for good - Your situation has a purpose

Not a life, not a thing. Nothing is of waste before God. Not even our seemingly bad situations. And that is why I believe Paul at some point looked back at every situation he had encountered and said “For we know that ALL things work together for good…”.

God is super amazing yeah?. Oh yes, He is!.

God won’t waste anything!

The reference text:

And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.

Romans 8:28 (AMP)

So have you been called “insignificant” or “trampled upon” like the sand?. I want you to know that God can still use you greatly because you are of the utmost value to Him if only you would allow Him and grant Him access.

Looking at the life of Mary Magdalene. She was one who had a troubled life that seven (7) demons were casted out of her by Jesus in Luke 8:2. But in spite of her past situation, she was part of the women who saw Jesus first after He resurrected. And through her, the message was carried out to the disciples (the apostles – Luke 24: 10-12), whom we would have called the “significant” ones because they worked side by side with Jesus before He was crucified.

Unworthy vessel - Repurposed - Made anew - Full of His glory

So I believe you agree with me now that God can make use of even those we may call “insignificant” or “worst of”.

You are most valuable to God and that includes you reading this. But you need to surrender to Him just as Mary Magdalene did and allow Him to work your story out for a greater good. A story the world would never stop sharing about. And will point them back to His saving grace just as Paul’s life also depicts.

A new identity - A new name - God can

That is what Jesus in us can do.
Would you allow Him in, today?.

If you desire to make a commitment to Him today, please take this prayer with me:

Dear father, I know I have chosen my own way all this while. I retrace my steps back to you. And I give you my all, today. Make out of me a valuable treasure for the whole world to see and give glory to your name. I choose you now and I make a decision to choose you always.
Thank you, Lord. In Jesus’ name. (Amen)

Happy new week. šŸ¤—

This is an amazing content. Sometimes little do we know about the potentials of things we consider insignificant. Indeed the stone the builders refused is now become the chief corner stone.

  10. What a beautiful piece…

I really can’t explain why a person will take pleasure in trampling upon another person… Is it also because he’s made of sand (that’s on a lighter mood)

Yet, God takes pleasure in beautifully the trampled upon, if he’ll allow God to.

Your analogy is definitely inspired by God. So often we fail to see the value of others and even ourselves, Yet, sand is transformed when mixed with other ingredients to make cement. I do prefer beaches that have sand rather than sharp rocks. God loves to use us together, where we add value with our brothers and sisters, with our gifts. Thanks for sharing! Blessings!
