I know we probably already have an answer to this question in our minds. But before I share my perspective on this question. I want to share with you a story.
I was watching a movie – A Mount Zion Faith Ministries movie (Higher Calling Part 3) and it just made me smile. As I could relate to it in some way (although not the same storyline).
The story begins…. 😊
So there was a particular man who had been praying that God should link him up with his future wife and in his words “Lord, Order my steps to her”. And guess what?. He fell sick!.
Are you wondering how the story continues?. 😂
Okay, so he fell very sick the following day after he prayed the stated prayer on that particular evening. Although he had been praying about it before then. And he had to be rushed to the hospital, by his friend and guess what?.
He met ” her” – the lady he had been praying to God for. Taddaaa!. 😊
As she happened to be the doctor that attended to him. 💃
So looking at this story and maybe you have a similar experience of how God worked the horrid situations you faced as a channel to answer your prayers. We would thus say that God isn’t wicked.
And that right there is my answer to the above question because God is good despite our happenings. So he allowed the man to fall sick (though he didn’t inflict him with the sickness, as the devil is the mastermind of all evil) but He used it as a means to meet him at the very point of his need.
So before you ponder so much on how God could have allowed you to go through the ugly, maybe He is about to walk you through the fiercest furnace to make you a lasting testimony. Just as He did for Daniel’s three (3) friends and their lives are a reference to God’s wonders, to date.

Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with fury, and his facial expression changed toward Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. Then he gave a command that the furnace was to be heated seven times hotter than usual. But these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, fell into the midst of the furnace of blazing fire still tied up. The satraps, the prefects, the governors, and the king’s counselors gathered around them and saw that regarding these men the fire had no effect on their bodies—their hair was not singed, their clothes were not scorched or damaged, even the smell of smoke was not on them.

Glory to God. 🙌
This story always thrills me. God is so so so good. I can’t even quantify it. I believe God is about to work that trying time or situation for you, unto a greater good. Giving you the kind of testimony that no type of storm can ever weather it away and it will stand forever.
These verses came to mind while I was writing these down. A reminder to know that the true attribute of God is good and He works it all out for – Good!.

And we know [with great confidence] that GOD [WHO IS DEEPLY CONCERNED ABOUT US] causes ALL THINGS TO WORK TOGETHER [as a plan] FOR GOOD for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.
Romans 8:28 (AMP)
And,
Every good thing is given and every perfect gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of lights [the Creator and Sustainer of the heavens], in whom there is no variation [no rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [for He is perfect and never changes].
James 1:17 (AMP)
So while we go about each passing day in our lives. Let us remember that our God is good and He works it all out, for our good and to give us His perfect gift. He won’t take any chance on you. Hence He is very (extremely) concerned and intentional about you.

Please hold on to these stated promises in His word to us – the Bible. God is good and can only be good. Hence He is never wicked towards us.

I love this post so full of truth, love, grace, and smiles. God is so good! In all my turmoils HE has always put me in a better place. There are times I’d look for his hand reaching me and then I’d realize they’re UNDER me! He’s been holding me the whole time. And so I lift my arms in praise. The Lord always has our best interests at heart, we never have to worry. He is good and His goodness follows us all the days of our lives. Romans 8:28 has become one of my favorite scriptures. Thanks little sis for the inspiring reminders. ❤️

What a beautiful message you have shared.
To answer the question on whether God is wicked or not? In my on view and understanding, I find that wickedness, is man made, and anything that is considered bad or evil, is what man has created because of his judgement of what surrounds him.
When it comes to God, everything He has made is good, and everything He does is good, it is our judgment that makes it look bad, evil or wicked.
When a man asks God for wisdom, God will not give it to him on a silver plate. He will place man in the path to learn and become wiser, and the learning process is that of challenges. If man is grateful to God, he will overcome all the challenges and become wiser, but if not grateful, he will fail and blame God, and ends up foolish.
These are my thoughts, we learn and grow everyday.

My soul needed this post. I was asking God in tears yesterday “How much longer?”. I am slowly going through the book of Daniel. God is faithful. His timing is better than ours. I am reminded to stand in faith and remember he has never failed me so why would he start now? I am blessed and thankful for you. That picture of you is stunning.
