Have you ever been in a situation whereby you are supposed to be worked up for obvious reasons, but then you are just so tired to be worked up about it?
I was at this point a couple of days ago. I had gotten back from work and I had to pack a few things and also drop some things off for a dear friend of mine. And clean up my place too, since it was a weekend. And also pack the clothes I washed the previous night. So many things to be done in a short time, as I had to travel early the next day. 😓
I was finally done with my to-do list and all that I had left, was to get some rest and also eat dinner. And in my fagged out mode, I tried to put on the fan, and then, it just wasn’t coming on. I unplugged it and plugged it back in, a couple of times. I even turned the fan switch to a toy, turning it back and forth. 🙈
But it just wouldn’t work. I finally gave a deep sigh and then proceeded to have my bathe. But I kept pondering on how I didn’t have money for a fan right now, as it is an expense packed month for me. All I had at that time, was to maintain my faith. 😀 I kept staring at it for a while then I walked away from it again. I heard the words “leave it on and plugged in”. I did anyway, even though I wasn’t sure if it was my hopeful self that was trying so hard not to let it get to me or not. 😁
Anyway, I yielded to the instruction and as I was dressing up, I had the nudge to look at the fan’s direction again, and there it was, rolling. Yay! 💃
This was after some minutes after I had plugged it back in as instructed. I had even banged the fuse box. 🙈 And yes, prayed for it to come alive. 😁
Did He answer my prayers? Oh yes, He did. Was it instant? No!. Did He teach me a lesson through this experience? Oh, yes He did. And the lesson for me is to always put to use my mustard seed faith. And make it work for me. And another learning point for me is to know that even when it seems like God isn’t coming to my instant rescue, it doesn’t mean He wouldn’t. Because He most assuredly will!. 🙌
I am glad the fan came back on at that time. 💃
I am above all grateful God always listens. And in His way, He will come through.
God is good. Always!. 😊
And yes He is very much interested in all your prayers and petitions to Him. Including that of your fan too, just as He did for mine. 😁
Ain’t no silly request when it comes to laying our requests and petitions before Him. 😊 Tell Him about it, and be ready to listen to His direction regarding “what next” or “the resolve” to the situations you are currently trusting Him for.
Our God is ever-present and doesn’t take a vacation on us. 🙌
This is His reminder to you and me, today. 📝

What a delightful story of encouragement, Mercy! I have a whole notebook of similar events, started in 1983! There are now 1300+ entries and we’re still counting. God IS indeed faithful–even in the small matters. Not that he spoils us by granting every whim, but his mercies are definitely new every morning/day–just as King Solomon wrote!

Today I cooked something that was not too good….a lot of effort….but not too good…well I knew it was a difficult dish to make …. so I asked God to help me with it before I began….and all through the cooking process….but it wasnt good….so He didn’t fix my ‘fan’….😄😅🙃not today 🙈
But it was accepted …..so yay….😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣
