With the Thanksgiving day recently celebrated in the U.S and having to read a lot of Thanksgiving posts of late on WordPress. I can’t help but reflect on Abba’s goodness. And God also has been teaching me about this, a couple of weeks now.
Thanksgiving has a way of positioning your head and mind in the right place.
Reflecting on how the year 2020 started and truth be told I had high expectations for the year. And to have gone through the first couple of months in the year with so many tears and shattered expectations made me feel at different times that the year should just end already. 😂
But currently, I am more than ever grateful for every hard time and tough moments I faced and how He led me through. This year I battled with my faith and so many things didn’t make sense to me. But the only thing that kept me going was that “I know I have God and He knows what He is doing”. So even when my head was drowning in many weary thoughts and my mind was so not in that space of great calm, I still knew. So this knowledge was what I could hold on to, even when I wasn’t physically seeing it yet.
Have I achieved all I wanted for the year?. Oh totally not?. But am I where He needs me at right now?. Yes, I believe so and this is my joy knowing that I am in God’s space and pace for my life.
Lastly, I am thankful for the ease to welcome new relationships and friendships. And knowing when to relax and let go too. It has been such a year for me, my family, and lives in my niche. And in it all, I’m grateful for God!.
So what I am most grateful for in this season is Abba. Knowing I have a father who is never caught unawares in my and our situations make me hold my peace even in the deep waters. 🙌
He is my blessing and the utmost in my life. Thankful for you Abba. You are beyond what I have been told. And my experience of you makes me tear up thinking of how you hold my hands through life. And my declaration in the different seasons of my life so far is this:
O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot.
Psalms 16:5 NKJV
Thank you for maintaining and sustaining my lot. 🙌

I am thankful for everyone I have met on this platform. But I am mostly grateful for God and how He has shown me to see things differently this year. He set me back and quieted me down and reflect on what is most important in life. And to realize what it means to be thankful for what we have, which is from God and not always what we want.
