πŸ€©πŸ€ THIS LIFE – NOT A BORING LIFE 🌟🌟

Faith - Not boring

Have you ever been told being a God-Lover or a Christian is archaic and old fashioned?

Well I strongly beg to differ because for me my experience of being one is that it gets better by the day.

It can only be a boring one when you get used to the old oil. Because we can’t sustain the newness God is calling us to, each day if you and me continue to live by what we have heard of Him a long time ago. Or even all that we know of Him is what our parents (if they are Christ believers) or mentors in faith or leaders have shared concerning who He is to us.

Well it can only be as boring as you make it to be. So are you feeling bored in this walk of faith?

Greater level - Newness

Maybe it’s time to get it back. And what is the β€œit” in this context?. It is the fire, the desire, the hunger, the thirst and the seeking.

Let’s get back to that place where His presence excites us. Where we are not bored going to fellowship with other believers. Or bored spending time alone with Him – studying His word and praying/interceding for others.

This life (The God life – Zoe), my dear isn’t a boring one. Oh yeah let me say it again. It is new each day!

β€œIt is because of the LORD’S lovingkindnesses that we are not consumed, Because His [tender] compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great and beyond measure is Your faithfulness.”

Lamentations 3:22-23 AMP

With Abba this life can only get better. Not deteriorate.

β€œThe latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts, β€˜and in this place I shall give [the ultimate] peace and prosperity,’ declares the LORD of hosts.”

Haggai 2:9 AMP

And,

β€œBut the path of the just (righteous) is like the light of dawn, That shines brighter and brighter until [it reaches its full strength and glory in] the perfect day.”

Proverbs 4:18 AMP

So if all you have heard of this life with Christ is that it is boring, old fashioned and all. Kindly read this write up again and again till it sinks in. I trust God to mediate His words in your heart. That it shall serve as an anchor to you henceforth knowing that His life is new and refreshing each day.

And if you are yet to accept Jesus and you desire this newness as well, do say this prayer with me:

Heavenly Father. Thank you for this life you have given me. I have in many ways held on to my ways and the world’s dictates for so long. Now I have come to realize that there is nowhere else I would rather be than in you. Teach me to love and stay committed to you. I accept you as my Lord and savior. Let your word reform me and create in me that hunger to stay knitted and connected to you all the way as the branch is to the vine. You are my vine Lord, I surrender all to you. Teach me to live in your newness henceforth. Amen! πŸ™πŸ»

Oh, yes! I am bold to be a Christian and I have never regretted accepting Him as my Abba. He indeed is a father, the closest friend and above all my counsel. πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Better - with God - His love

Finally, this is for you and me –

β€œso that Christ may dwell in your hearts through your faith. And may you, having been [deeply] rooted and [securely] grounded in love, be fully capable of comprehending with all the saints (God’s people) the width and length and height and depth of His love [fully experiencing that amazing, endless love]; and [that you may come] to know [practically, through personal experience] the love of Christ which far surpasses [mere] knowledge [without experience], that you may be filled up [throughout your being] to all the fullness of God [so that you may have the richest experience of God’s presence in your lives, completely filled and flooded with God Himself].”

Ephesians 3:17-19 AMP

Blessings to you and yours. ❀️

Mercy, thanks for this important post. I find joy and hope in the Lord! Your post made me think of Romans 15:13 “May the God who gives hope fill you with great joy. May you have perfect peace as you trust in him. May the power of the Holy Spirit fill you with hope.” A Jesus-based life is never boring it is peaceful, loving, and joyful. 🌺

Just reading Everlasting Man by Chesterton; kind of heavy to get through as he has LOTS of references to Greek mythology and long, convoluted sentences. But by the time he makes his point, he is spot on. One thought I gleaned was that familiarity either breeds endearment or contempt depending on “the object” with which one is familiar, and the attitude of the one getting familiar.
Getting to KNOW Father is like discovering Daddy all over again, the man who could break his Dodge truck engine down to the nuts and bolts and put it back together in two days. I always wondered if there was anything my Daddy could not do!
Of course, as we grew older, I realized some of his shortcomings and how they affected me and my siblings. But THE Father IS perfect! HE CAN do anything and always exactly right, even if I do not understand it at the time.
    love and prayers,
    c.a.
