🌟 LIVING WATERS FLOWING OUT ✨

Living water - Ocean

Have you ever seen a running/flowing water body?

It remains fresh and a sight to behold because it keeps pouring out!

And when we pour out likewise, we give room for more to be added to us.

Let’s make this practical. Can you picture a bottle that is constantly in use. It remains clean and preserved both on the inside and out. Unlike a bottle that it’s content is just being used once in a month or months as the case may be. The likelihood of that bottle to be dusty on the outside and slimy on the inside because of the unused liquid content in it is higher than that which is constantly in use.

Refreshed - Water source

Literarily, Which of these bottles do you want to represent?

That which is in continuous and constant use and also clean or that which is occasionally used and slimy?

I believe we all want to be the clean version.

How do we engage with this insight in our daily living as God’s children whom He has called to spread His aura?

The “how” simply is for us to keep letting His aura – Himself, flow out from us! God has called us to let His living waters flow out from within us. And we can’t be a terrible manager of this resources – talents, attributes, and gifting that we have, by hoarding it. Rather all these were given to us so that it can be spread forward and out!

“He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water.”

John 7:38 AMPC

I was looking at my hands in Church during the Sunday service and I couldn’t help but be reminded that everything about us is meant to channel out!

Can you take a look at your hand for a minute. Spreading out your fingers. What do you see?

Channels of Blessing - Hand

For me, I see channels that are meant to flow forth out of us. We have opening all over our bodies and I can’t help but see that we were not made to hoard all that He has placed in us. We were made to keep giving out!

I don’t know who has disappointed you or taken your good will for granted in the days or weeks or even years past. But all I know is that He is charging us to not let that deter you from letting His aura – light and grace in you to stop flowing out.

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.

Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven.”

Matthew 5:14, 16 AMPC

You are a light and you can’t stop being one because someone said you shouldn’t. Keep being the light that you are. And someday, those who are against you from being one, will eventually catch up with this reality of who you are. Because they kept seeing it in you. You were only made to be like Christ and till we become that, we don’t succumb to the world’s dictate of us. Rather, you commit only to His counsel for your life!

Stretch out - Prayer

Let’s take this prayer together:

Lord Jesus, I have in many ways chosen to let myself keep on the inside all you have given unto me. You have created me to be a blessing, Lord. Help me to be a better manager of these resources in me. And to always give it all back to you, by giving unto people who you call Hephzibah (your delight; Isaiah 62:4b). Amen!

Happy new month to you, dear reader. 🌟❤️

  3. Thanks for this reminder. I really like John 7:38, and I like the hand illustration too. One of my favorite things to do is to sit by a flowing creek or river and to sense the power of it and to be reminded of the Holy Spirit in me and flowing out to others. Great thoughts.

  15. I chose and strive to be the Clean version o. What else would I be.

Looking at my hands as well, I saw channels… Amazing isn’t it.

And just like @Hephzibah said in the comments, no son/daughter of the kingdom should be comfortable being a stagnant water as it will begin to harbour unwanted things that can polute the water.

Also thinking through what it takes to keep a river continuosly flowing… It requires a force, a force whose strength is unmatchable, the Holy Spirit working in us

Thanks for sharing 😊, I’m blessed.

  17. Great reminder. We shouldn’t let the way others have treated us interfere with our character. God sees our good deeds. He knows our heart. And in due time He will reward us.
