‼️ JUST A MINUTE LONGER ⏰

Time - Clock - Minute

Smiles, you might be wondering where I am headed to with this. Just a minute longer, you will get an understanding of where I am heading to. 😉😁

So earlier today, I had to join a class on Zoom. It was close to the end of the session and the facilitator said “now we have come to the end of the class,……..”. And guess what I started seeing pop ups of people leaving the webinar room. And in my head I was like “I thought we were supposed to have four (4) quizzes in this particular class”. Guess my curious mind didn’t want to join the multitude. So I continued listening and in less than a minute after I had that thought, the facilitator then mentioned “… so we will be taking our last quiz now”. I couldn’t help the sorry feeling or wishful feeling that those that left a minute ago could have just waited for a little longer. That way they could have been able to take the last quiz for the class assessment. But then, they had left. So I could only wish yeah.

Zoom - Coffee - Meeting

That few minutes experience gave me the idea of what we will be looking at this week.

Just a minute longer!

So have you had such similar experiences?, whereby just a minute of having a rethink on that action saved you from making the worst decision you can think of.

I can’t help but think of those who deal with anger. They call it Anger issues yeah. Maybe just a minute longer to take a deep breathe and have a rethink on what you heard the person say to you, could have saved you from denting your reputation over and over again. That you no longer have anyone to call a close friend, because everyone has learned to stay clear of your zone.

Relentless - Daunting - Goals

Just a minute longer!. It might seem like it’s just a mere 60 seconds. For someone who is slow in processing things, it means a lot. Really, It might seem rather insignificant to you now, but trust me it saves us from making rash decisions.

The mind is a space we need to not only let the Holy Spirit help us with, but we need to be conscious of what we allow linger in it.

There is this verse that always comes to mind whenever I reflect on this. It says:

“So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for they affect all that you are. Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being, for from there flows the wellspring of life.”

Proverbs 4:23 TPT

We have to pay attention to what we allow our minds and hearts to dwell on even for a millisecond. Our heart is like a field and you will be surprised how receptive it is to the things we feed it with or plant in it.

⁃ What are your thoughts like?

⁃ What do you brood on every now and then?

⁃ What determines the kind of decisions you make? Your feelings at that moment? Or is it His words; His counsel in you?

I want us to sincerely ask ourselves these questions. We can’t go far if all we feel is what we act out. We need to grow beyond our feelings and yes this likewise applies to me.

If I had acted on all of my feelings. I would be very miserable right now. I would have made some costly decisions and regretted it. And what happens after? Nothing! because regrets doesn’t fix it or neither will it bring back the relationships lost due to the words you said. Neither will it set before you again those opportunities you threw away just because you weren’t feeling it anymore! 😥

Evaluate Feelings - Word

I pray that we will take a minute longer to brood and meditate on these words.

May His words light up our inside and make us better in all areas of our lives. Amen 🙏🏻

Happy new week to you and yours. God bless you now and always. Amen 🙏🏻

Happy International women’s day to you, dear reader. You are beautiful inside and out. 🙍🏼‍♀️❤️

P.S: Thank you once again for the showers of love, as I turned silver yesterday. Silver, literarily though. I’m still human. 😁

Thanks for making it mind-blowing. ❤️

No idea how many times I was told to “count to 10 next time” when I would get angry as a child. Now, I still sometimes need reminding, and this blog “hit the nail on the head,” i.e. hit me in the head, which was much needed. Thanx for your counsels, and I will put these words in my heart to remind me of my mother’s warnings. 😊
p.s. your p.s. is misleading for Americans, I think. We use “silver” as a reference to 50 years, e.g. “silver anniversary”, “silver birthday.” To what are you referring when you say you are “turning silver?”

It is true men and women ARE equal, as apples and oranges, though, not as in 2+2+4. Our equality is based on the truth that Father God has both male and female characteristics. He is so far different from us, we can only respond to Him as He opens His revelation to us.
But that He has done, and He calls Himself “our Father,” so to not address Him as He has chosen is like ignoring a parent’s instruction.

A better translation of this verse is “The Kingdom of God is among you.” Jesus was referring to Himself.
Pantheism is the artificial religion that believes God is in everything. In one sense that is true; He inhabits the “Colossian space” of every atom. However, the atoms are not God, and we are not God, though every person believes he is at some point.

Sis, you are amazing. There is such profound wisdom in this post. One moment longer… amen! This could even apply to those moments in life when we feel like giving up on what God has placed in our hearts to do. How many businesses could have succeeded if they’d pushed past the uncomfortable phase to get to the good part? We never know all the good that God has in store for us!

Most of all, I love what you said about examining what we allow ourselves to think on, even for one minute. You’re 100% right — that split second ‘seed’ can take root just that quick. The results can take a lifetime to undo. God doesn’t want us to experience such pain. His wisdom can keep us from ever traveling that road. Praise God indeed that He has kept you (and me!) ♥
