🌟KNOWLEDGE 🌟

Knowledge - Look up

Sometimes, we are in a fix on what next or what to do in a particular situation when we don’t know “how”.

Let me share a short episode or experience with you. On a particular workday, I and my colleagues were attending to the clients for the day. And while at that, I remembered the fan had been off and one of us asked another colleague why it was off and she was told that there was no light at the moment. Meanwhile, the fan was plugged in. Hours went by and another colleague of mine came close to the fan, as she needed to plug in her phone charger to the power box close to the fan. And guess what? She turned the power switch of the fan and it came on. I couldn’t help but feel sorry for us all. As we have had to put up with the heat despite the fact that there had been power supply all this while. But because the person who plugged it in forgot to turn on the switch. And we all also didn’t even attempt to check as we believed just as we were told that there wasn’t power supply at that time.

Thank God we didn’t have to put up with the heat longer than we already had. 🙈😀

Knowledge - Power - Direction

Anyway, knowledge as they say is power. And even the Bible states how vital this is. Hence it states that lack of knowledge causes us destruction (paraphrased). 😢

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

Hosea 4:6a NKJV

I was also reading a Bible plan and I couldn’t help but admire the life of Abraham. He indeed was a man of faith because He knew His God and so He was able to decline the offer of the King of Sodom. The knowledge of the God who is for you will make you know when to say a No to an offer that will contend with the glory that should be all God’s.

“And he blessed him and said, Blessed (favored with blessings, made blissful, joyful) be Abram by God Most High, Possessor and Maker of heaven and earth,

And the king of Sodom said to Abram, Give me the persons and keep the goods for yourself. But Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lifted up my hand and sworn to the Lord, God Most High, the Possessor and Maker of heaven and earth, That I would not take a thread or a shoelace or anything that is yours, lest you should say, I have made Abram rich.”

Genesis 14:19, 21-23 AMPC

I have come to know from experience that not all seemingly good deals or opportunities are for me. And I will put it to you too. Just because it seems or looks good doesn’t make it good. It is only good if that gift is orchestrated or brought by, by God because He alone gives good and perfect gifts.

“Every gift God freely gives us is good and perfect, streaming down from the Father of lights, who shines from the heavens with no hidden shadow or darkness and is never subject to change.”

James (Jacob) 1:17 TPT

This will bring me to the conclusion on this, as I ask: what knowledge of God do you have?

What knowledge of the being – “You” do you have?

Knowing God - God’s Heart - Identity

Abraham not only knew His God but He also knew His identity in God hence He knew that what the king of Sodom was offering Him was nothing compared to the blessings God had told Him and promised to give Him.

This is where Abba wants us at. The place where we do not get distracted by what the world calls good or pleasing. But we choose to wait on His good and perfect just as He has promised us.

May our faith in Him be strengthened that we not grow weary but together we keep stayed on Him and His words for us. Amen!

Seeing eyes - strengthened faith - Prayer

In recent times, I have been praying for seeing eyes and strengthened faith. Humanly speaking, It’s not easy waiting but His spirit in us can energize us through the process. 🙌🏼

Blessings. ❤️

Mercy, you are wiser than your years should allow! 😉
I am sure you realize knowing “about” God is not the same thing as “knowing Him.”

  12. prolific and profound! to come to terms with a truth after being in opposition of God and hiding from God like a stranger. And Now declaring I am a Child of the Most High God is only through the knowledge of God’s grace and mercy found in Jesus. That why Paul talks about capturing all thoughts that come against the knowledge of Christ. Great Post
