🔸 LOSING TOUCH ⭐️

Losing Touch - Hands

Many times we are caught up in our busyness and all sort of other things that we neglect the place of fellowshipping with Him. And because of this, we begin to lose sight of His voice and instructions.

A quick one on this. Few days ago, I went to bed on a particular night. And in a way He was waking me up to get out of bed so that we can have our time out. But because rain was falling and it was a Saturday I resisted and kept going back to bed and He too, kept waking me up. I eventually dragged myself out of bed when I started day-dreaming of food and doing chores I won’t be doing such as boiling water to bath. Because I usually don’t use hot water to bathe. To crown it up, a thought crossed my mind that was opposite of what He has been telling me for days.

At this point, there was no sleep that was gonna hold me in bed. 😂

And because brushing my teeth wakes me up, I went to do that. Afterwards I started my time out, pacing to and fro in my room so that I can maintain the alertness.

You know what? The message or thought that was opposite of what I heard while I was choosing sleep over my time out with Him, was clarified. And He also re-emphasized what He has been telling me.

Presence - Pay attention to His Signals - Direction

This experience affirms that we receive the signal of the presence we choose over God.

I don’t wanna be part of the multitude with the “I’m so busy” tag that I neglect Him. I haven’t been perfect on this for weeks now, because I have multiple things running side by side currently in my life. But then I am thankful that He knows how to gauge us back to where He needs us at (i.e His presence) regardless of our fall out.

So what are we doing differently today? We are asking Him for strength; the courage to drag ourselves out of bed and spend sometime with Him. The help lies in Him and truly when He sees the hunger or desire in you, He really does help us.

I love these verses:

“So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance. And He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the [Holy] Spirit [what His intent is], because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God’s will. [Ps. 139:1, 2.]”

Romans 8:26-27 AMPC

Do tell yourself – “I am helped” because you are indeed helped. And in your commitment to fellowship more with Him, you are reminded that He is with you and not away from you.

He recognizes your struggles - Helper

He recognizes your struggles and He is willing to help you if only you will tell Him all about it. And also allow Him to aid you. After-all, He is our overall “All”. He is our “All in all”. 💃🏻

He is the missing piece in our struggles. Give it up to Him and allow Him. 🙌🏼

Blessings to you this day and always. 🙏🏻

Abba loves you and yearns for you. ❤️

Someone once said, “Nobody on their deathbed said, ‘I wish I had spent more time in my office.'” 😉
Time with Jesus is never wasted time; time with loved ones is rarely wasted time; time spent is busy-ness is often wasted time. Practice the Presence, as you so beautifully put it in this blog.

Spending time with God aligns something within us that sets our course right as we navigate through our days here and the enemy tries very hard to get us off that dedicated time with HIM because then we are weak and more easily prone to fall into his schemes.
This was a good reminder Mercy.

I needed this message tonight before bed. God knew I needed to be reminded that he sees and hears me. I am going to spend some time before bed with God so he won’t wake me up too. God will make me up to get my attention. Thank you for your transparency and encouragement.

I have had the struggle of being obedient and getting up to pray too. But it is always such a blessing when we choose obedience. May the Lord help us to keep our priorities straight and always make time with Him a priority. Thanks lil sis. Hope you are enjoying your week. 🤗❤️

I can easily get into the mindset, “oh God knows me, He knows what I need, so i don’t really have to have a conversation with Him”. And all that is true but the key for me is, He, the Creator of the universe, THE GOD, wants me, little old chubby me, to speak to Him and just not take what He does or will do for granted. Great post.

    1. True! 🥲
But if only we knew that it’s beyond coming to tell him about our needs. Sometimes it’s us just going on to worship Him for who He is. 🙌🏼🙌🏼
