I read the story of Boaz and Ruth. And in my reflections I saw similarities in their story and the role of Christ Jesus in our lives – How He paid the price for us. 📌

I couldn’t help but be thankful for Abba’s blessing of Redemption in our lives. 🙌🏼

Ruth was a woman, who was met with some tough life realities. And what she was able to do after moving to the land with Naomi (her mom in-law), was to take from the leftovers in the field of Boaz (a relative of Naomi).

And from this low moment of her life (taking leftovers), she eventually became Boaz’ wife and a direct descendant of Jesus’s blood line.

It’s amazing how situations can be changed when God is at work right? 💡

Jesus likewise bought us back with a price and that’s why it is called redemption. 👇

“For you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”

1 Corinthians 6:20 ESV

When Adam sinned, we were given over to the world’s systems and was vulnerable to everything in it. Because we were no longer under God’s watch, as man was sent out of Eden (A place that signifies His Abode, Presence and Covering).

Reference: Genesis 3:23-24

But Jesus came to reconnect us back to His presence. Hence, we now have that direct access and contact with Him. 👇💃🏻

“Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.”

Hebrews 9:15 ESV

It is interesting and a blessing to know that we have now been called His friends. Not only were we bought over. But we were elevated from slaves of sin to friends of God. 👇💃🏻

“No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.”

John 15:15 ESV

God is such a gracious God. And it’s a blessing to be right where He has intended for us to be right from the beginning, and that is in His presence.

And that right there, is what Jesus has done for us. Bringing us to our original and intended position in Him. 🙌🏼

“And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One).”

Ephesians 2:6 AMPC

May we not lose sight of what the Trinity has done for us. And our rightful positioning in Him. (Amen)

Let’s take a minute (or more) to deliberately say “Thank you Jesus for the gift of Salvation” and everything else this new covenant has granted us access to. 🙏🏻
