I was having my time-out with God, on a particular morning. And while I was about thanking God for the things I could remember Him doing. Also, for the different seasons of my life and how He has been really faithful.
This crossed my mind – 👇
That though the storms may come, we are only shaken by it but it doesn’t cause our boats to capsize.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit
The story of the turbulent storm the disciples faced, when Jesus was in the boat with them crossed my mind after this.
My reflections on the storm the disciples faced:
It’s interesting to know that the storm was boisterous, another version calls it turbulent. And we know that in a turbulent storm, it’s a near miss for an ordinary boat to survive such an incidence. 🤔
Reference Text: 👇
“And suddenly, behold, there arose a violent storm on the sea, so that the boat was being covered up by the waves; but He was sleeping. And they went and awakened Him, saying, Lord, rescue and preserve us! We are perishing! And He said to them, Why are you timid and afraid, O you of little faith? Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great and wonderful calm (a perfect peaceableness).”
Matthew 8:24-26 AMPC – YouVersion Bible App
But this particular boat that the disciples were in didn’t. Such that, Jesus could sleep confidently in it. That’s interesting for me.
It is also reassuring! Knowing we can trust that with Christ in and with us, we have hope that remains. One which lasts and no turbulence can overthrown. 💃🏻
Hence today, I am grateful for the presence of God in me, and in you reading this post. 🙌🏼
Because He is the anchor that remains forever active and potent regardless of the storms our boat (life and all we strive to achieve) encounters.
Can you say this with me – 👇
God is faithful and He is my rock. And because He is, no storm can break my boat (life).
Blessings, dear friend. ✨

Amen and amen. Jesus said we would make it to the other side. I believe and receive his word.
