Reading through one of the Bible plans I saved offline on a graceful evening, spurred this writeup.

My favorite chapter in the Bible: Psalms 139; Happens to be a well-detailed expression of God’s depth when it comes to Him loving us and being concerned about everything that pertains to our individual lives and space.

Do read this:

For You formed my innermost parts; You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.

PSALMS 139:13‭-‬14 (AMP)

Having keenly read these verses, it amazes me and makes me really emotional, how much God did to fit us. God is perfect, right? according to Matthew 5:48b and then in Genesis 2, when He made the birds, animals, plants, heavenly bodies, and man, He looked at everything and called it “Good”!.

This references sheds more light on how treasured we are and also reminds us that, regardless of how anyone sees us or have told us of how less we are. That doesn’t matter I will say because God looked at you; He looked at me and said you and I were “Good”. If a perfect being as He is can say that, then indeed we do not have to worry our head about what man has chosen to see of us. Man is myopic!. And God’s opinion of you and I supersedes that of man and should hence matter most to us.

I can recall a time in my life, I believed all the hurtful words that were said to me. Everything!, and it began to affect me badly until God took me through His word and healed me. Which is why Psalms 139 remains my favorite chapter. Now whenever a word that is unhealthy, is being said to me, I immediately in my heart, remind myself that I am not that. And it helps me appreciate my life better. 😊

So dear friend, your head, hands, feet, legs, eyes, nose, ears, etc. even that birthmark you feel disfigures you, was beautifully put by Him. Some people have gone into their shell and have literarily put their lives on hold just because of how much someone close to them doesn’t like this and that about them; the discouraging comments that they hear from folks around them daily have shut some out of living their lives. These has then caused them to see a lesser version of themselves. The good news today is for you to see God’s word unto you – You are of utmost treasure to Him. Man can’t even create a bird or let me say an ant (which is the tiniest creature) as God did. And even though they clone different creatures now but it can never be in the same way as God made it. Which is why it’s “Cloning” – Creating a copy of a biological entity. Of which this original Biological entity was made by God. So why then do we let their words and actions shut us out from living our lives as God would want you and I to?. 🙇

Say this confession with me: 🙌

I am wonderfully made.
I am fearfully made.
I am His (God) first before anyone else.
I am defined and named by God.
He loves me and have always loved me.
I choose to see myself in His light and Word.
I am no longer going to live my life in the bondage and shackles of any unhealthy and discouraging words.
I choose God’s words above anyone else!.
God is my hold. (Psalms 16:5; ESV)
