How many of us love to be surprised? In a good way though. 😀
I love surprises too. And yeah I believe we all do. 😊
These past days have been quite eventful for me. And it just shows how graceful God shows up for us, in a bid to surprise us.
The Lord knows how to get us. In every way! 😊
I don’t know what He has told you before now. But I do believe strongly that He is still the faithful one. And He will surely show up.
I have a verse that I love, that references this. And this is because I know how easy it is for us as humans to forget His promises especially when it seems as though He is delaying or making us wait, much longer than we anticipate.
“If we are faithless [do not believe and are untrue to Him], He remains true (faithful to His Word and His righteous character), for He cannot deny Himself.”
2 Timothy 2:13 AMPC
But the good news to us in this, is that He is never late, and He knows just how and when to show up to the case we have been presenting to Him.
A verse dropped in my mind to share with you:
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]”
Matthew 11:28 AMPC
The Bible says “come”; Jesus is saying to us (you and me) today that we should come to Him.
His desire is to lighten our weight and if we believe this, we do know that He will not deliberately show up late to our events or pressing needs.
Just as He did for Lazarus, by showing up. And although it seemed late to everyone else, He was simply being right on time to that event – situation.
Trust God enough that even when it seems like things ain’t moving according to plans, that He is faithful enough to show up to our events.
He is a God that is never late and He is always on time. Heck, He controls time! 😆
Would you and me, trust His timing henceforth knowing that He is the custodian of time and seasons. 🙌🏼
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.”
Ecclesiastes 3:11 NKJV
I pray that we will choose to trust Him and His timing, henceforth. 🙏🏻

God’s timing is perfect just like He is. Our timing is not because of our impatience and our imperfection. If we truly sit back and wait for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, everything will work for His glory.

Just this morning I was reading the verse: “How long must I wait, Lord?” It just proves that no matter how desperate our situation, and even though we feel as if God is taking too long, we should still remain faithfull because He would never go back on his word. It was nice to read this post on the same day that I read that verse. God is clearly trying to tell me something!

Love these thoughts! Ironically, I have written quite a few of these similar ideas in my brother’s book—about Lazarus, about how God is never late. I love it when He reminds believers if similar lessons at the same time. 😊 These are definitely truths to remind ourselves of often!

Sweet Mercy, you are breathtakingly beautiful inside and out. I adore the wisdom Holy Spirit places in your heart. What a joy it is to come and read your words of encouragement! ♥
These are words I needed to read today. It has been hard to hold on to God’s promises when it feels like the situations around me will never change. I know many others feel the same. Yet, as He has promised, He can ONLY be faithful to us, His kids. There’s no other option for Him.
It may look like another dead Lazarus moment in our lives but He WILL come through and turn what the enemy meant for harm for our good if we will only rest, trust, and believe. That doesn’t mean it’s easy but it’s worth it!
