Have you ever been in a situation where it seems as if God left you and He took a long walk away from your situation?
Sighs. Or maybe it feels as though He just left you when you needed Him the most.
Trust me, it is insane to the human mind when it feels you have trusted in God so much but He instead took a walk away from you at the time you needed Him and His comfort the most yeah?
Phew, I’ve been there. I felt God was just so deliberate about breaking every plan and dream I had. And I just got to the point where I told myself, if this is what God wants to be doing, heck, no more big dreams that He will shatter or bring null. 😌
I became complacent and I called it rest. Phew!
If only I knew the difference at that time. But I’m now thankful that He made me to meet an individual that helped me see what “rest” was in another perspective. I started seeing the need to dream again, try new things and also plan. And yeah just simply do my part and trust that if He shows up to fulfill the plan or not, it was still in my best interest.
This dear friend’s word to me anytime I was down and contemplating receding into my “little or no aspiration mode” was “Mercy, either way you win”. I didn’t see it as that at first but thankful the Holy Spirit helped my eyes to see what His son was projecting to me as ABBA’s way. And he also helped me to see what God needed me to see in-spite of the many No’s I had gotten at that time – that regardless of the outcomes I still win. And regardless of the way my plans turn out, God still has an intentional plan for me and He permitting the “No” was still for my greater good.
So yeah, even when everything else in your life seems not to be going as planned. God hasn’t let go of His control over you.
“And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves; but he was asleep. And they went and woke him, saying, “Save us, Lord; we are perishing.” And he said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.”
Matthew 8:24-26 ESV
All that might be needed to calm the storm is for you to actually call out to Him and exercise faith in His ability. He is present and he never left you! He has always and will always be with you. ❤️
“…..and behold, I am with you all the days (perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close and consummation of the age. Amen (so let it be).”

Remember you are never left alone to battle through life. He is with you. And He’s got your back. 😊

I’ve experienced this feeling numerous times, and I’m still learning to accept that God always has our best interests at heart, as you say.

Whenever I make plans, I usually add ‘if the Lord is willing’.
God’s plans and my plans are sometimes not the same.
However, we can trust that throughout life, when things seem confusing so often, God makes no mistakes. 🤗🌷

Gosh – when we get a lot of ‘no’ we can begin to not dream and we get complacent and call it rest, that thought really stood out to me.
he is always in control and we can get so focused on the disappointments that we lose sight of what He is guiding us towards or the timing for us.

I must confess this is me right now and I’m learning that he’s always present and has a WHY for every situation. Some times it’s not very easy to trust but I believe “there’s always light at the end of every tunnel”.

The amazing thing is even when we don’t feel it, He is working. Even when we don’t see it, He is still working. He never stops working. He is always with us. It’s not His character to abandon His children.
