On a particular Sunday morning, while I was in the train and commuting to church. I looked out of the window in anticipation of a building I knew had been there for a while. I thought it was already now being constructed, cos I saw signs of construction – some construction items, not so far from where the building was.

So in my anticipation, I looked out for it.

Was my expectation met?

Not exactly, cos there wasn’t a construction going on, on this exact building. Turned out it was a road construction site, that I initially saw.

But I saw something else that spurred me to write on this. I saw that it was surrounded with shrubs that looked like it was covered with snow.

And it was a beautiful sight to behold, even though it was an abandoned site. Well for a nature lover like myself, I was in awe and thought to myself – God is amazing that He chose to allow these beautiful plants sprout here instead. Because asides from that site, I didn’t see those plants anywhere else as I continued my commute.

And this made me smile or maybe blush, and full of hope as well. As it brought to mind a verse, that God reminded me of the night before.

Here is the stated Verse:

“It will no longer be said of you [Judah], “Azubah (Abandoned),” Nor will it any longer be said of your land, “Shemamah (Desolate)”; But you will be called, “Hephzibah (My Delight is in Her),” And your land, “Married”; For the Lord delights in you, And to Him your land will be married [owned and protected by the Lord].”

I believe this is a message for someone. Maybe for more people, reading this writing. Because I initially was working on another draft to upload, before He spurred me to write this instead and to release this, before that one.

This is for you: 👇🏾👇🏾

You are not abandoned. And God is not done writing your story.

You are on God’s mind and He has a beautiful story He wants to write your life. One that leaves people in awe of God’s amazing works.

Seeing how He can craft a MASTERPIECE out of something that was abandoned cos no one saw it useful.
