‘Do not fear [anything], for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation].’

I was reading up some verses while having my study on one of the mornings. And my mind was drawn to this verse.

It’s amazing how much we have been so ruled by and wrapped up in fear. Fear has even gained so much room in our space (life) than God. But sadly, that fear – whatever it is for you, is nothing. Earlier in the year when i had to make a decision that was tough on me but needful, this verse was one of the comforting words He gave me after i made that decision. We have nothing to fear folks. Because fear is an illusion the enemy is constantly bringing our way.

Just like the story of David and Goliath. Goliath though physically huge and a giant; stands for the fear. And David stands for us (each one of us), as we are constantly faced with threatening situations: that we either stay for God or for the world; if you choose to stay for God you would lose this and that (are all what we hear at such times). All this and more are the daily and timely decisions we get to face. But what I have come to realise is, all of these fears are only illusions the enemy constantly sets in our way.

There is this outdoor sport/activity – Bungee jumping that the whites often get involved in. And whenever I get to watch it via movies, the expression for most folks is they are really scared of it (they keep thinking of a possibility of them falling off and all sorts). But whenever they are nudged or encouraged to do it; when they eventually do, even with all the screaming that comes while at it, at the end from their comments and facial expression you can see through them that “so this was just so easy and not as dangerous and all as i thought it was”.

Ours might not be an activity that we get to choose if we will do it or not but whatever the situation is for you, always remember fear is only an illusion. Never your reality!. God is your reality and He speaks courage and strength. Which is why we call Him Almighty!. His grandeur is without limit I must say. ❤

You know another graceful part is, Christ faced so much more even till the time of His crucifixion He felt God had let go of Him but He chose to believe God’s words that He won’t leave His beloved son.

So dear, hold on to the stated verse above. Fear not!. His hand of victory and help is constantly stretched out to you. Choose to Trust God!. Even when all around you seems to be hanging on a string.
