While I was on transit on a certain day, I decided to read through my messages on WhatsApp, offline. 🙈 A while into this, I saw the news update for the day via one of the WhatsApp groups I belong to, it stated: “suspected smugglers abandoned their boats containing….”.
I couldn’t help it at this point but reflect on the decadence in our world today. We have people on a daily basis; time after time risking their lives on wrong things. In fact, obviously wrong things. And to crown it, there is a daily decline in the number of people who are going all the way out to achieve something profitable to their own lives, families and even their community. It’s like the wrong rules the day and it’s getting worse.
As the news of the smugglers I read about, they obviously knew it is a crime which is why they fled and left the smuggled rice. Knowing that if they get caught, they would end up in jail or a sentence that will cost them even more. 😪
It’s just sad how our world today has become. So many wrong things being the order of the day. It is terrible!. We are in a sick world and we can’t help but rise up to be influencers as God’s own Children, named after Christ – made in His image and Glory.
My question to you today dear reader is: That Ill or wrong or crime or vengeance you hold at heart currently and possibly planning on executing, is it really worth the risk?. 🤔😌
Don’t be like the rich fool, who saved up everything that pertained only to his physical well being and never thought about his life afterward – eternity!
To you dear reader. There is a life after now and all we do and choose to make out of our lives make up for this. And if you are still in the category of those who do not believe there is an eternity, please read these Bible references:
“For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:16 (AMP)
This,
For God will bring every act to judgment, every hidden and secret thing, whether it is good or evil.
Ecclesiastes 12:14 (AMP)
And,
And just as it is appointed and destined for all men to die once and after this [comes certain] judgment, so Christ, having been offered once and once for all to bear [as a burden] the sins of many, will appear a second time [when he returns to earth], not to deal with sin, but to bring salvation to those who are eagerly and confidently waiting for Him.
Hebrews 9:27-28 (AMP)
Note that, the Bible (God’s word for us which is true 💯), would not have mentioned anything eternal life and judgment if there was really nothing like ETERNITY for us as His creation/created.
Please choose life – eternal life in Christ and not otherwise – damnation in hell with everlasting torment and torture. 😕
Let’s hence make the right choice today – to do good and stay with God in Christ Jesus. The best risk you can ever choose to go with is to do “Good”.✋
Doing good is profitable. It pays and when we tarry in doing it, God also is pleased with us.
Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap if we do not give in.
Galatians 6:9 (AMP)
But ultimately, we have to make Jesus the center focus of our “good dealings”. Because He (Christ) is the Good in us. Aiding us and letting it flow out effortlessly!

It can be hard not to let the depravity of the world around us to lead to depression or sin. I urge you to hold fast to the Lord & listen to his will in EVERY situation.

Knowing that there is an eternity after this life should make everyone care about what they do in this life. Either we are preparing for eternity in heaven with Jesus or in hell with the devil.
For us Christians our purpose is to lead others to Christ so they too can spend eternity with Christ Jesus. Great post little sister! I love the picture with the man at the fork in the road.

That is a sad reality. They think good works will secure them a spot in heaven or they don’t think hell even exist.

I had my share of the unexpected earlier this year – had my visa denied a couple of times. I felt bad with all that happened and looking back at it now. I know God had good intentions for the seeming disappointment.
And yes He compensated me with an entirely different blessing in another area of my life. So I am just grateful for it all.

It can sometimes feel like a huge burden to have lost people in our lives that refuse to listen to truth. But the reality is, our life speaks louder than our words ever will. So live your life honoring Him in everything that you do & let God work on the lost souls in your life.

John 3:16 is my mantra this week and I seem to be seeing it everywhere! God loves me ❤️. I love the question you share because I think it’s often easy to point out the risks others are taking, but we all have natural-man tendencies to give up something better for something that isn’t worth it. This is a great message! We should be focused on spending our eternity with Christ. And not in physical things that won’t last.
Living in sin is not worth it. Our focus should be HEAVEN
