๐ŸŒธ WALKING AWAY? ๐ŸŒธ

Walking away - alone?

Smiles, so I was reading a book on a particular day. Its emphasis was on how we can’t just decide to walk away from sin, leaving the cross out of the picture.

And after I read a part describing the blessing of the cross which literarily made me tear and emotional too. I couldn’t help but reflect on the above subject.

So we have a lot of individuals who at some point thought they could just walk away from sin and get on with life. To be sincere, that is a disaster waiting to happen.

Speaking from personal experience
My view

Speaking from personal experience, you can’t just take a walk and expect a change. It might seem like you did walk away and you left it behind.

But sin is like a being or spirit with an aider – the devil. And trust me, it won’t just back out from your life, just because you decided to quit the act and engage in some other things instead.

Let’s have a look at this Bible text:

“Now when the unclean spirit has gone out of a man, it roams through waterless (dry, arid) places in search of rest, but it does not find it. Then it says, โ€˜I will return to my house from which I came.โ€™ And when it arrives, it finds the place unoccupied, swept, and put in order. Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and make their home there. And the last condition of that man becomes worse than the first. So will it also be with this wicked generation.โ€

Matthew 12:43โ€ญ-โ€ฌ45 (AMP)

Did you read that text? โ”

It expresses the truth that you can’t just walk away without having to engage a supernatural. The text states how the unclean spirit after it was cast out, came back with 7 other spirits because it came back and saw that the life was still “unoccupied”, though it was “put in order”.

So what is the supernatural we ought to engage?.

Question - Ask - Enquiry

The supernatural in whom we have our absolute freedom is, Christ Jesus.

Do read this verse:

Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty
2 Corinthians 3:17

So are you wondering why you have been struggling with getting out of that sin that keeps on creeping back into your life?. And it has been like a rise and fall tide, all this while.

The answer is – you have been trying to fight a supernatural battle with your physical; human efforts which can’t in any way help you. Stop engaging the physical in a supernatural battle as a dear friend would always say to me.

Stop engaging the physical in a spiritual battle

We need to be aware that it is only in Christ Jesus that we can achieve all things. And your desired healing can only become “whole” and “perfect” in Him. Because when it comes to Him, it comes with a whole new you!. A new heart and a new spirit.

Let’s read this text together:

We are a new creature in Christ Jesus. Reborn and Renewed
2 Corinthians 5:17 (AMP)

Walk away from sin but walk right into God’s Mercy which we have in Christ Jesus, giving us a new life and a complete transformation. ๐Ÿ’ƒ

Jesus is the only source of liberty, away from sin
Jesus is our source of freedom

He alone is the force that no “age-long” sin or bondage can withstand. Because He is the only “Ancient of days”. The mighty one in battle and the “Lord of Host”. He controls all things – powers and authorities.

Do read these Bible verses:

Lift up your heads, O gates, And be lifted up, ancient doors, That the King of glory may come in. Who is the King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O gates, And lift them up, ancient doors, That the King of glory may come in. Who is [He then] this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory [who rules over all creation with His heavenly armies]. Selah.

Psalms 24:7โ€ญ-โ€ฌ10 (AMP)

Let your walk away from sin, lead you right into the wholesome arms of our Lord Jesus Christ
Walk into His loving arms

Wishing you a blessed and fruitful new week. โค
Jesus loves you – Always. โค

When I started reading your blog, I immediately thought of Matthew 12:43-45, and was excited to see you included that scripture! You can โ€œwillโ€ yourself to โ€œdo goodโ€, but unless you allow Jesus to fill your heart, you still empty, lost, and a target ๐ŸŽฏ for the enemyโ€™s attacks! Great post!

Thank God for His grace and mercy. They are new every morning. We can do nothing without Christ. The enemy is a roaring lion, looking for every opportunity to drive us back into the pit to torment our souls. We must look to Jesus. We seek His face concerning every matter. There is power in the name of Jesus. We must call on His name and believe that He is the only solution to our deliverance. Great post ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ˜Š

  7. Great, wonderful post, my friend. Itโ€™s impossible to conquer sin without completely relying on the Holy Spirit. Sin is our nature and when we walk in the flesh we will reap the works of the flesh, when we walk in the spirit, we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Thank for this reminder

I echo the sentiments of your post and the commenters, Mercy. We cannot walk away from sin on our own. We cannot change on our own. We cannot do anything that pleases Jesus in our own strength. It is only through Him that we can be called overcomers. It is only through Christ that we can conquer and are more than conquerors ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ

Absolutely beautiful, sis! What a powerful reminder that without Christ – we have nothing and can do nothing. Our enemy knows where our trigger points and our weaknesses are. Only Holy Spirit can guide us into the truth that sets us free. This doesn’t make it easy, but it is possible with God because everything is!

My favorite line is this one: “Walk away from sin but walk right into Godโ€™s Mercy which we have in Christ Jesus, giving us a new life and a complete transformation.” — WOW. Amen, sis, AMEN! Sending my love and prayers your way. Thank you for your heart and your ministry. ๐Ÿค—
