👁 THE VISION IS BEYOND YOU 👫

Vision - Walking - Footprint

Growing up and as a believer, I have come to know that the words God give to me, as much as it may seem beneficial to just me, is still part of a bigger picture – for others!

So when He promises that He will do a new thing in me, it’s so that I can be anew and refreshed, to pull more weight for His kingdom.

Back to what spurred this theme. I was reading one of the Bible plans today and it struck me that Ananias is a blessed man for yielding to God’s instruction, after all. Though He resisted the instruction at first, I’m glad he eventually obeyed and went on to pray for Saul and that changed the life of Saul. So yes, Saul had met with Christ on his way to Damascus by revelation, but Paul’s (then Saul) ministry only began after he was prayed for.

What assignment is God giving you right now?

Look at it from this perspective – “it is beyond me”. Because His plans are always for a bigger picture that encapsulates us all.

Looking at the creation story, God made everything – trees which had leaves, birds etc. And we can see how these things function for our use. For example, when Adam and Eve sinned and they were sent out of the garden. God made clothings for them from the resources He had already made.

“GOD made leather clothing for Adam and his wife and dressed them.”

Genesis 3:21 MSG

God is a master planner and that I can affirm. He is not only prepared for our now, but also prepared for the then!

Long before the messiah was born, He had a script and Abba followed through to make that script come to pass. And that’s why in the New Testament there are references to some of these prophesies. God is massive in greatness! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

When the earth was flooded, the birds functioned to help Noah keep track of what was happening outside the ark.

“And sent forth a raven, which kept going to and fro until the waters were dried up from the land.

And the dove came back to him in the evening, and behold, in her mouth was a newly sprouted and freshly plucked olive leaf! So Noah knew that the waters had subsided from the land.”

Genesis 8:7, 11 AMPC

There is no waste in Abba’s kingdom. That He has called you to mentor that life or shepherd that seemingly “lost” life, is because He wants you to be a part of His bigger picture.

So what are we doing differently as His children?

Instruction from God - Bigger Picture - Mountain View

We are henceforth seeing His call; assignments and instructions to us as part of a bigger picture. A picture that can determine what the upcoming generations will be – Saved or not? Followers of Christ or not?

Just imagine if Ananias refused, yes God would have raised another person. But it was great he yielded himself and prayed for Saul and that birthed the ministry of Paul.

Reference texts:

“Now there was in Damascus a disciple named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, Ananias. And he answered, Here am I, Lord.

But Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard many people tell about this man, especially how much evil and what great suffering he has brought on Your saints at Jerusalem;

But the Lord said to him, Go, for this man is a chosen instrument of Mine to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the descendants of Israel;

So Ananias left and went into the house. And he laid his hands on Saul and said, Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, Who appeared to you along the way by which you came here, has sent me that you may recover your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit. And instantly something like scales fell from [Saul’s] eyes, and he recovered his sight. Then he arose and was baptized, And after he took some food, he was strengthened. For several days [afterward] he remained with the disciples at Damascus.

But Saul increased all the more in strength, and continued to confound and put to confusion the Jews who lived in Damascus by comparing and examining evidence and proving that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah).

So the church throughout the whole of Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was edified [growing in wisdom, virtue, and piety] and walking in the respect and reverential fear of the Lord and in the consolation and exhortation of the Holy Spirit, continued to increase and was multiplied.”

Acts 9:10, 13, 15, 17-19, 22, 31 AMPC

Gracefully, the radical Paul birthed the spread of Christianity in many nations today. Because He was rugged and daunting when it comes to spreading the gospel.

Don’t stop that flow or channel God wants to create or make through you.

What will you do differently today?

May our eyes of understanding be enlightened. Amen 🙏🏻
