🧏🏽‍♀️ DO YOU BELIEVE IT? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Avatar- Lady in motion

I was at work some days ago and I wore a particular shoe that I had not been wearing. Technically, it was supposed to be on the “church shoe” list. But because I haven’t had an opportunity to wear it, due to many reasons. It was just there in the room.

For me, I thought the shoe was just okay. Good in its own way. 😬

But did I believe that it was more than that? No!

So when the comments and compliments were said about it, I at first said “thank you” without giving it much thought. But sort of didn’t see why they were seeing a great shoe while I was seeing it as just an okay shoe. 🙈

Fast forward to some hours later, mind you the comments didn’t stop. I went to the restroom and I looked at my legs in the mirror and I was like “and it’s looking nice o” 😁

Do you believe - Still in doubt

Call me Doubting Thomas. 😅 But the good part is that I eventually believed it yeah. 😀

He brought my attention to everything that had spanned in the last few hours and how I struggled with believing even when many people affirmed it being great.

We are just like that you know. Sometimes, it’s like we have been expecting a bad news and when the good news come, we are sad! Or our head isn’t just seeing why we deserved the good news. 😂

You know I just remembered how I felt sad after getting a yes to two (2) applications I put in for. They were applications I submitted and I didn’t even put my mind into it as such. But because I was expecting a particular one, and that seemed like it was delaying. I felt sad instead of being happy about it. Now I can laugh and shake my head for the silly state I was in at that time. 😂

You might be having a different experience on this. But the truth remains – it’s time to get out of your head and choose to believe the way God wants to come through for you.

Get out of your head - Gaze up

Enough of us seeing less in that which He has given unto us when it is in fact, priceless.

It’s just like any precious stone. Truthfully, most of them are not so pretty in their natural forms. But it doesn’t change the value they possess. And just because you are seeing only the “stone” in it doesn’t mean it isn’t “precious or priceless” at the same time.

It’s time for a mind shift and a refocus. It’s time to see more of the goodness that God has deposited in your life. Rather than being so fixated on the odds and what isn’t looking great at the moment.

The human mind has a way of forgetting the goodness of God in the face of fear. But He is here to remind us, that “it is the faith you bear in the past goodness of God, that will spur your entry into the more goodness, that you desire or anticipate”. Do read this again. 📌

Faith - His goodness - Anticipate

When last did you thank God for all He has done rather than ranting on what He hasn’t. I was struggling with choosing praise at some point because of some delayed answers. But thankful He is working on my heart to see the graceful strength He has given me even in the now and all I have going on.

And that right there is what I choose to focus on. And while we remain grateful. He will show up even with the anticipated. Glory to God!

Stop seeing less - His more

It’s His charge to us today, to quit seeing the less when He has given us His more. And it’s when we begin to see the more that we can access His most. 🙌🏼

May His word enrich our hearts and minds. 🙏🏻

Blessings. 🤍

Wishing you a pleasant week. You are loved by Him – God. 🥰

We need to remind ourselves of the goodness of God. God does not need us to. We need to so we can trust him when difficult times come.

  3. This is so true. Sometimes we have to train our eyes to see God’s goodness rather than looking at our issues so much, which seem so close up. When I was single, I reminded myself of the latter part of Psalm 84:11–“No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.” He was not withholding goodness from me through my singleness. If I was single, I knew it must be for my good at that time. Now that I’m a wife bad mom, my struggle has been with parenting a strong-willed child and feeling alone in it a lot since my husband works long hours. But it’d do me good to remember that verse now. God is not withholding goodness from me in the midst of these challenges. He is extending it to me every single day in such simple but beautiful ways. That He would give us the eyes to see just how great His goodness has been and is to us in every moment! Blessings, Mercy!

  10. This is very good advice, especially the part about focusing more on what He has done rather than focusing on what He hasn’t. He’s clothed us, fed us, and even has a place for everyone of us prepared in heaven. There’s so much to be thankful for! Thank you for reminding me of that. xxx

Being struggling with some thought and it has opened my mind to the fact that I just need to be thankful to God for all He has given me now.
Treasure them, look into the tomorrow and not today.
Give them back to God in Thanksgiving and offering, submitting to Him to work on from there raw state I see them to what He want to make out of the
