Have you ever been at the recieving end of ill words said to you directly or said about you to other people?
If yes, I believe you know how deep that dagger feels when we are told about it or faced with it. 😌
I was having my study time and this verse came to mind: 👇
”What you say can preserve life or destroy it; so you must accept the consequences of your words.“
Proverbs 18:21 GNT (YouVersion Bible App)
The words you and I speak or say has implications. And this can either be “to Preserve a life” or “to Destroy it”. 📌
That’s how powerful our words are. 💡
And so maybe you have experienced the earlier example I mentioned, countless times. But whilst we can’t stop people from being that way towards us. We have a control over ourselves.
It’s time for us, to reflect on these: 👇👇
- How has my words helped preserve a life?
- Or has it rather caused them to sink further into hopelessness?
Just as we would have hoped that the people concerned who spoke such ill words against you did otherwise. Someone (or people) around you and those you will come in contact with, are also keeping the hope and faith in you. That your words to them, will be seasoned with Grace! 📌
Why don’t we take up this challenge today? 👇
That “I (include your name) will choose to speak words that is full of grace to others”.
And the good part is, it is possible to do this. By the help of the Holy Spirit. 💃🏻
I love the example of Jesus. As He chose to pray for the same people who mocked, beat, crowned him with thorns, and also casted a lot on his garment.
We have a role model in Christ Jesus. 👇
”Jesus said, “Forgive them, Father! They don’t know what they are doing.” They divided his clothes among themselves by throwing dice.“
Luke 23:34 GNT (YouVersion Bible App)
Lastly, I will be sharing another reflection I had recently reading the story of Job and the effect the words of Job’s friends had on Job. 👇

Having shared with you all these, the choice is ours, to make today. And every other day. ✨
Would we choose life-giving words and allow our lives exude His grace to others, at all times?
Blessings to you, dear friend. 🤍
And a great month to you. 🙏🏻
…….It is my birth month and that of my hubby. And I’m just grateful for our lives. 🙌🏼🙂
I’m sharing a recent video on my YouTube Channel with you: 👇✨

Happy Birthday to you and your hubby. Enjoyed the video about appreciating the differences in personality and enjoying the blessings rather than focusing on making them what they are not.
This post was such a good reminder for me about the words we speak. God has been making me focus on it and your post further affirms it.
Blessings Mercy.
