You just might already be thinking: what is she about to share?
Well, wait, and journey along with me. Would you? 😉

The Background Story—What led me to this theme and writing about it?
One night recently, I laid down to sleep but my mind was busy a little bit. I was thinking about a particular friendship I have in my life and I was thankful for it.
While I was, the thought, what if you two are no longer friends? crossed my mind. I never thought of that before I had that thought.
But that question made me think about how we often “Love in closed spaces”. Closed spaces in relation to it being enclosed. So it’s not open to everyone, only a few we have allowed in.
And while that is safe and healthy to have these enclosed zones or spaces, whereby we don’t allow everyone into that sacred zone or the “inner court of our lives”. Yes, inner courts, we are the temples of God right? 😊
Back to it, while it is wise for us not to allow everyone into the inner courts of our lives, often times people also shut out the possibility of loving others who are in the outer courts—whom you are not close to.

If you have read about the way the temple in the days of the Bible was built, there is the outer court, inner courts and the most sacred and innermost part, the holies of holies (the most holy place).
In that time, not everyone could come into the innermost courts. But everyone could be in the outermost courts. In the outermost courts, everyone was welcomed.
How does this relate to us?
What we have today is this: people often don’t want to have relationship or interaction with those who are not in their “inner courts” or inner circle as we term it.
Everyone seems to be caught up in their niches. Leaving little or no room for a hi on the bus to another person sitting beside you.
Or a wave at the person you meet while taking a stroll or a walk. No smile on your face towards that person who might be in need of that radiance and smile you project to them as you choose to smile at them.
The world is becoming more and more enclosed. And this defeats the purpose of human interaction in the first place. 🥹

What point am I trying to make or pass along?
While it’s good, wise and safer to have the few who are closest to you. Those that have access to your innermost courts, wherein they know more things about you than others.

Don’t be too closed off that you ignore the “others” whom God has planted in your outer courts. Those who are also deserving of your love through your kind words, actions and gestures.
Remember Jesus died not only for those in His innermost circle—the 12 disciples. He died for everyone—including those in the outer courts.
You have something to give to those in the outer courts around you as well.
Don’t withhold it!—the smile, love, gifts, prayers, hugs etc. Every way God has capacitated you to show others how His love looks like.
